I began my career as a graduate accountant in business services, spending 2.5 years at a small public practice, learning company, trust, and individual tax. After realizing tax wasn’t my passion, I moved to a mid-tier firm for 8 months before deciding to transition out of tax altogether. From there, I joined an American oil and gas company as a management accountant, progressing to senior accountant over three years. I led the finance side of the company’s voluntary administration in Australia, which was an incredible learning experience.

I then landed a contract with a major travel group, where I found my passion for business intelligence. After moving into a BI team and upskilling myself, I became a team leader and eventually transitioned into technology, leading data engineering projects. I was promoted to Principal Engineer in Data for Australia and New Zealand.

This website is where I dig into the questions that grab my attention, using data to explore the answers. Whether it’s breaking down trends in finance or analyzing sports performance, I focus on using data to make sense of complex topics. It’s a space where I can experiment, challenge ideas, and share what I’ve learned, with no guarantee of where the insights will lead.
